May 25th: The Magician by Hana Matejek-Khouri

Lights off. The curtain rises. The Magician appears.

The audience cheers, the laughter bursts, no one sees his tears.

He’s the one who rules the stage when performance begins:

He shows off his magic tricks and turns black into white.

The left is right. Up is down. The day becomes the night.

The Magician has an untamed hunger for the truth

He’ll seek for it frantically until he finds his proof.

He’s the master of mysteries, yet wants to reveal

Is it a thorn in his soul? And will it ever heal?

Is it fortune or bad luck? Oh, what comes with the wheel?

Across heavens and earth, all the threads start to connect.

Can you be sure that no more than one path is correct

As the wind rises, the darkness falls – havoc is wrecked?

When everything is unveiled, what can you truly see?

Only when you live the limitless, can you be free?

He spreads his hands, fearlessly greets the void – mystifies.

His love is bathed in the fire, his smile melts the ice.

Who is he, really? Messenger of The Paradise,

A cunning trickster, The Great Alchemist of The Past?

The curtain falls. No one knows him and he knows no one
